Rapid Research: insights at sprint speed, without the sample-quality compromise.
Product teams ship in two-week sprints. Traditional market research runs on a timeline of months. By the time the comprehensive report lands, the roadmap has already moved. Most firms make you choose: move fast and accept thin work, or get rigor and wait a quarter.
Rapid Research is the method Accelerant built to remove that choice. It is a tiered research program that matches the depth of the study to the decision in front of you, and delivers it at the speed your roadmap demands. You get the depth the decision needs, and only that depth, so nothing slows you down for the sake of it.
The method has three tiers. Tier 1 is fully unmoderated and fast. Tier 2 blends moderated and unmoderated work. Tier 3 is fully moderated and strategic. You pick the tier by what is at stake and how fast you need the answer. The rigor does not change between tiers. The depth and the speed do.
We diagnose before we prescribe
Good research starts with the business problem, not a method. We work like a physician: understand the decision you are trying to make, then prescribe the study that answers it.
That is why we are platform-agnostic by design. Quantitative research tells you the what, at scale and with confidence. Qualitative research tells you the why, the motivation and context behind the numbers. Most questions need a custom blend of both, sized to the decision, and that is what Rapid Research is built to deliver.
Our leadership has sat on the client side at Fortune 500 companies, so we scope to the decision behind the brief, not just the brief, and we stay in to help you act on the answer.
One method, tiered to the decision.
Rapid Research has three tiers. Each one matches a different decision: a quick gut check, a validation call, or a strategic question about why something is happening.
Unmoderated
100% unmoderated, with automated reporting. Best for quick quantitative validation (n approx 100) or rapid qualitative checks (n approx 15). Use Tier 1 inside a design sprint when you need a fast, directional read and the cost of being wrong is low.
About one week
Hybrid
50% moderated, 50% unmoderated. You get the depth of human conversation and the scale of digital tools in the same study. Use Tier 2 to validate a direction before you commit engineering or budget to it.
About one to two weeks
Moderated and Strategic
100% moderated, with dedicated researchers and deep manual synthesis. Best for strategy and for understanding the why behind behavior: why users churn, why a segment behaves the way it does, where the real opportunity sits. Use Tier 3 when the decision is big and the answer has to hold up.
About two to four weeks
The methodological standard is the same across all three tiers. What changes is how much human moderation and synthesis the decision warrants, and how fast you get the result.
Insights that arrive continuously, not in bursts
Rapid Research is built to deliver insights continuously, not in one-off bursts. We call the operating model Launch-to-Lead.
In a rolling engagement, the tiers overlap. While we are in the reporting phase for one study, we are already recruiting for the next. There are no dark weeks, no stretches where the team is waiting for the research machine to spin back up. Your insight pipeline stays full and the feedback loop stays closed.
That overlap is what lets us turn most studies around in about one to two weeks once an engagement is running. The work does not stop and restart between questions. It moves with your sprint cycle.
How we keep quality high at speed
Speed only matters if you can trust the data. A few things let Accelerant move fast without thinning the work.
The Agora USA panel
High-touch recruiting
Continuous data cleaning
Platform-agnostic tooling
When to use which tier
Pick the tier by two questions: how fast do you need the answer, and how much is riding on it.
Tier 1 (Unmoderated)
Tier 2 (Hybrid)
Tier 3 (Moderated and Strategic)
If you are not sure which tier fits, that is the call to have on a kickoff. We size the study to the decision, not the other way around.
AI to accelerate, never to replace judgment
We use AI deliberately, inside a framework, so it speeds the work without thinning it.
AI is excellent at compressing time: synthesizing large volumes of interview notes, powering live dashboards, and helping turn a six-week study into a one to two week one. We use it for exactly that. We do not use it to generate insights, because it cannot read your business context, judge whether a stated preference will become a real purchase, or translate a finding into the decision in front of you.
A human expert owns every insight we deliver. That is how we get the speed of AI without the scaled mediocrity of AI-only research.
Methodology FAQ
What is Rapid Research?
Rapid Research is Accelerant Research's tiered research method. It matches the depth of a study to the decision you are making, then delivers it at sprint speed. It has three tiers: fully unmoderated (about one week), hybrid moderated plus unmoderated (about one to two weeks), and fully moderated and strategic (about two to four weeks). The methodological standard holds across all three. The depth and speed adjust to the decision.
How is Rapid Research different from traditional market research?
Traditional market research typically runs on a months-long timeline and delivers one comprehensive report, often after the product roadmap has already moved. Rapid Research is built around sprint cadence. Studies are tiered so you take only the depth the decision needs, engagements overlap so insights arrive continuously, and we run platform-agnostic tooling so each study uses the right method instead of being forced into one fixed framework.
How fast can you turn around insights?
A Tier 1 unmoderated study runs in about one week. Tier 2 hybrid runs in about one to two weeks. Tier 3 moderated and strategic runs in about two to four weeks. In a rolling engagement, overlapping recruitment and reporting keep most studies turning around in about one to two weeks with no gaps between questions.
Do you sacrifice rigor for speed?
No. The methodological standard is the same across every tier. What changes is the amount of human moderation and synthesis a given decision warrants. Speed comes from how we operate, not from cutting corners on method or sample. We field against Agora USA, our proprietary U.S. consumer panel, and select the right tool for each study so the data holds up at any timeline.
